Pet-friendly PIR detectors (passive infrared motion detectors) operate by ignoring any changes in the movement of body heat up to 35 kgs in weight. Most dogs and pets weigh less than this. This means that your ‘babies’ can roam in the house without triggering the alarm.
These detectors are not fully fool-proof. If your pet tends to jump off the furniture you may experience some issues. However, the chance of triggering the alarm is significantly lower compared to a conventional alarm system.
